Dear ANMF Members
Today we wrote to the ACT Chief Minister, Andrew Barr, to initiate bargaining for a replacement ACT Public Service Enterprise Agreement for Nursing and Midwifery staff (EA17).
As you would be aware, the current ACT Public Service Nursing and Midwifery Enterprise Agreement (2013-2017), whichsets out your work entitlements and conditions, is due to expire on 30 June 2017.
On 20 December 2016, the ANMF ACT Branch Council endorsed a Log of Claims for EA17.
The Log of Claims was developed from the ANMF ACT EA Member Survey, direct member feedback, ANMF policy, and in conjunction with ANMF ACT Workplace Delegates and the ANMF ACT Branch Council.
You will find a copy of the ANMF’s Log of Claims attached to this correspondence.
We would like to thank you all for your contribution to the bargaining process to date.
However, this is just the beginning.
In 2017, the fight for a fair pay increase, better working conditions and Nurse-to-Patient Ratios begins.
With your help, we look forward to achieving the best possible outcomes for Nurses, Midwives and Assistants in Nursing in the New Year.
Yours in solidarity
